Adventures Into the Unknown is an American comic-book series best known as the medium's first ongoing horror-comics title. Published by the American Comics Group, initially under the imprint B&I Publishing, it ran 174 issues (cover-dated Fall 1948 - Aug. 1967). The first two issues, which included art by Fred Guardineer and others, featured horror stories of ghosts, werewolves, haunted houses, killer puppets and other supernatural beings and locales. The premiere included a seven-page, abridged adaptation of Horace Walpole's seminal gothic novel The Castle of Otranto, by an unknown writer and artist Al Ulmer.
Unlike many horror comics of the Golden Age, it weathered the public criticism of the early 1950s and survived the aftermath of the Senate Subcommittee on Juvenile Delinquency hearings of April and June 1954 when the comics industry attempted self-regulation with a highly restrictive Comics Code.

The Forever War is a 1988 Belgian science fiction graphic novel trilogy drawn by Marvano and closely based on the 1974 award-winning The Forever War novel by American author Joe Haldeman, who has noted that he "supplied all of the dialogue and scripted [the comic] like a movie". The novel won the Nebula Award in 1975, the Hugo Award in 1976, and the Locus Award in 1976.
The three volumes of the series span the whole of almost one millennium of war between humanity and the Taurans, an extraterrestrial species that stays enigmatic throughout the series. Due to time dilation, the two main characters experience the whole of the war, biologically appearing to be in their early thirties at the end of the hostilities.

Writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti brought western hero Jonah Hex back to the mainstream DC Universe after several well received Vertigo miniseries. Numbers 1-7 were self-published by Olio. Then four issues were released by Cartoon Books released as Volume 2 #1-4. Then it returned to Olio and continued at number 12!

Medley initially self-published the series as a series of individual chapters beginning with The Curse of Brambly Hedge through Olio Press using a 1996 grant from the Xeric Foundation. She continued self-publishing, releasing eight issues until the series went on hiatus in 1999. The series was picked up by Jeff Smith's Cartoon Books the following year, during which point Medley released four more chapters. The sales through Cartoon Books were disappointing and Medley returned to self-publishing in 2001. She released five more issues, bringing the total issues for the series to sixteen. Castle Waiting was again picked up by a publisher in 2006, Fantagraphics Books, who proceeded to release a hardcover collection of the first nineteen chapters.
The 2010 release of Castle Waiting Vol. 2 did not include a credit to Linda Medley as creator on the cover or any interior pages. The only mention of her name was in the fine print of the copyright notice on the last page, and on a retro-actively affixed sticker on the back cover. The sticker read "FANTAGRAPHICS BOOKS \ STORY AND ART BY L. MEDLEY" and was placed over the "Fantagraphics Books" logo. Fantagraphics has stated that this was at Medley's request. This edition included 11 chapters and the story ended abruptly. In 2013, Fantagraphics Books released a "Definitive Edition" of volume 2 which included an additional 60 pages in 7 chapters and epilogue, to complete the volume. Fantagraphics stated in 2010 that Medley was currently taking a break from writing any additional chapters for the series.

Doc Stearn...Mr. Monster is a fictional character comic book superhero created by Michael T. Gilbert, most recently published by Dark Horse Comics. The character first appeared in Pacific Comics Vanguard Illustrated #7 (July 1984). Later the character graduated to his own monthly series Doc Stearn...Mr. Monster from Eclipse Comics.
