Eton Langer is marooned on the planet Bornhome after his ship is knocked out of a space battle for the universe's most valuable substance, TerraCore, which terraforms planets. But Tash, Langer's former nemesis and fellow pilot, has recruited a band of pirates to track Langer down, and it won't be long before they come in swinging at anything-or anyone-they can hit.

Soldiers are crowded around screens watching for victory. Potts might be optimistic for the first time in years...
... until a new kind of bio-mech appears. One smaller than a cockroach but completely lethal. And swarms of them are about to storm the base. Is this new universe the solution, or just another path to destruction?
