As a toddler, Orchid and her father just barely escaped Japan alive during the Dolittle Raids of WWII. Almost fifteen years later, Orchid is more comfortable on the back of her motorcycle than with her feet firmly planted on the ground. Now living in London, she has elbowed her way into the Cafe Racer community, with the other rockers resisting her every step. Because being half Japanese and a girl, she is once again an outcast. As she struggles to find her place in the racing community and reconnect with her father, she discovers friendship in the most unexpected of places. And even more surprising, the bike she's known and loved for years holds the secrets to her past.
