Do you have the smaller version of this title? (There was a Usenet post back in 2013 that was just a smidge over 200mb but my newsreader certainly doesn't have a 4 year latency!)

Loved this story, and volume 2 as well! Really liked the whimsical style of author and artist Jason Brubaker. Nice story of how he self-published this into a coffee table book on his blog:

I'll second that sentiment. Never heard of First Second comics before but I'm certainly going to be one the lookout for their other titles. And yeah, the art by Asaf Hanuka and Tomer Hanuka was really great!
