The shadowy order known as the Tal-Ifatiir are on a quest to destroy the demon lord, Aghal-Paraag. To this end, their leader, the Immortal Ralaan ad-Zaliir, sends them into a dangerous, unknown land to capture a powerful witch who seeks to wreak havoc upon the land.
However, Chadhiyana, the order's first female member, holds a deadly secret about the night she helped capture the witch. As the company journeys to Aghal-Paraag's prison, one misfortune after another befalls them. Is it the witch's curse working against them or something even deadlier that only Chadhiyana knows?
