The story of this graphic novel takes place in the city of Heroica, the largest of the so-called instant cities built in the U.S. during the mass exodus of 2018. The conditions of life are tough, unemployment is high, public services are deficient, people can barely make ends meet. New gangs are organizing in a fight for the new territories. Most of the gangs run from the suburban quarter “Mexican Belt,” which is actually a result of a failed migratory experiment. Doug Balthus, a detective from Heroica, is in big trouble because of his gambling debts. He owes lots of money to two of the most dangerous gangs in town – neither of which is willing to forget his debt. Doug knows that they are after him, so he avoids the places where he usually hangs out. But then one night he gets caught, and just as he thinks his life is over, the boss of “Red Flies” makes him an offer he cannot refuse: Find Alicia and your debt will be forgotten. Doug is thrilled and accepts the offer. During his search for Alicia he meets Laura -- a dancer in a sleazy club. Exhausted and tired of wandering, she opens up to him. Although he is completely broke, Doug invites her to stay with him. He’s also looking for a safe place to hide from “White Noses,” the other gang he owes money to, and it seems that they are a perfect match.

Despite its setting, Jeremiah's underlying motif is of hope and the survival of mankind. The storylines carry little from album to album, meaning they can be read individually.
Jeremiah is a Belgian science fiction comic book series by Hermann Huppen. Jeremiah was created in 1979 for the German magazine Zack, and had a premiere in Sarajevo based Strip art magazine, since the editor of this magazine, Ervin Rustemagic, was also Hermann's manager. It has also been serialized in the French-language Métal Hurlant[1] and Spirou magazine; as well as the Serbian magazines Stripoteka and Politikin Zabavnik. Currently, there are 34 volumes and one "Special Edition" in French and Dutch.

SUMMARY: Racial wars have torn the U.S. apart, resulting in a post-apocalyptic world. Many small pockets of civilization still exist; from isolated super high-tech fortresses, hidden research labs, or racial groups in walled-in cities — all fighting each other among the more regular population which in many ways resembles the "old west".

Jeremiah and his friend Kurdy travel the country, taking odd jobs and getting mixed up in various affairs. Jeremiah, being the more noble of the two, often sticks his neck out to help others, while Kurdy is a more wily, opportunistic scoundrel.

Police detective Manual Gomez is called to a crime scene to investigate the death of s young woman, the latest in a series of murders of web users committed by lethal cybernauts. In order to track down the killers, Gomex agrees to take part in a breakthrough experiment set in virtual reality. Manual is aware of the danger such an experiment poses but as an experienced ex-hacker he trusts he will be able to get to the truth unscathed. All trails lead to young psychoanalyst Valeria Castro's patient, a schizophrenic named Luis Montes, who claims his alter ego that knows about these crimes. Manuel's investigation and Valeria's treatment open up a cyberspace battlefield between man's true self and his virtual counterpart.

Tags on the walls, warning of the priest of the corner: visibly the spirits are warming around Zombillénium. When we only hire dead (or witches!) In a region where the unemployment rate is at 25%, we must expect some friction.
If we add to this visitors a painful crumb and employees who, to be dead, would not like to take a vacation, we understand that it is not too much time to come talk wage claims to Francis Von Bloodt.

A second volume that adds to the casting of Zombillénium with Astaroth, the teenage demon, and which confirms, if it were necessary, the particular talent of Arthur de Pins to handle a totally jubilant black humor.

It should be obvious to even the most casual observer that this series has a blatant sexual nature. The black & white artwork reminds me of those 'Tijuana Bible' palm-sized pornographic comics from back in the 1920s to the early 1960s and shows little, if any, improvement in the style. The artist seems to have a preference for particularly buxom women with thick legs which I found unappealing. Can't comment on the story line as it only provides filler between the graphic depictions of sex. I can only see this of interest to prepubescent or teenage boys who don't have the benefit of an older brother's porn collection to sneak a look at or haven't manage to figure out how to find it on the internet.

While I only looked at the first issue I suspect the others are pretty much more of the same.

Now that it's been made into a NOS4A2 movie I believe it deserves a re-upload!

I already had an 8 volume series of this title that I downloaded back in 2016. They were not the best quality and I wanted to see it this newer batch was any better.

Uhhh... I've only downloaded the first volume of this set and Good Grief!; why in the world did somebody use a 2143x3056 pixel resolution for what is predominantly a black and white comic?!? No wonder the files are so damn big!!

Ok sure, the quality is better that the 2016 batch but I'm not sure if it is worth the gigantic increase in size -- just thought I'd mention it.

Ge-rouge? Or Gerouge? Apparently the author can't seem to make up his mind about the characters name since he switched back and forth between 'Gerouge' and Ge-rouge' in the story. Gerouge is on the cover and imprint page but hey, potatoe, patatoe...

Anyway, just one more zombie story. Illustrated in the 'Heavy Metal' school of art with overly muscled male characters and nude women with massive mammaries. Thankfully short at 13 pages.

Only downloaded the first issue so I could post an inkling of what it was about... can't say I was inclined to get the other two.

SIGH... it took 18 months for issue 9 to be translated, I can only cross my fingers and hope issue 10 won't take as long!

THE TRILOGY

The Shroud, a story in three volumes, takes place over several centuries, in several countries, in very different environments. First in France, in the countryside of Troyes in the fourteenth century; then in Italy, in Turin, in the nineteenth century, in the big bourgeoisie; finally in Spain, in the Sierra Nevada desert in the twenty-first century.

The three main characters traverse time and space within the same story.
The story of Lucie, Thomas and Henri is that of a passionate love whose shroud says "Turin" is both the issue and the emblem. The rivalry of the two men for the conquest of the young woman plays in intimacy what is played in public for the conquest of the shroud.

But what is the shroud? An authentic relic of the Passion of Jesus or a skillful medieval forge painted with the stamp?

The Days That Disappear

Beyond a whimsical narrative, These Days That Go Away , graphic novel in color of 200 pages with a very marked personality, raises strong questions about the identity, the duality of the being and the relationship between the body and the spirit. All along, the reader wonders if Lubin really disappears or if he has schizophrenia. Obviously, the young and talented Timothé Le Boucher, who signs here his third book, is careful not to answer it... And if this character who chases another was simply the adult man who, little by little, hunts the child who is in him?

Appears to be a reprint of the series ORIGINALLY published by Thrillbent, LLC in 2015. Written and drawn by Palle Schmidt.

Now published by Lion Forge Comics, the original story and art appears unchanged. The only obvious differences are new covers, additional pages of "Behind the scenes" and ads for some Lion Forge titles at the end.

From the publisher that dared to print such memorable titles as 'Babylon Crush: A Babylon Bondage Christmas', 'Rectum Errrectum' and 'Mighty Morphing Rump Rangers', Boneyard Press (1991-2003) wasted more paper and ink on the barely readable, incomplete series 'Sever - The Devil’s Advocate'.

An excuse of a plot centers around Thomas Spencer whos pregnant wife is raped, mutilated and killed. He returns from work to discover her body and suffers a complete nervous breakdown, ending up in the Bellevue psych ward.

Enter the Devil with a proposal; help thwart the plans of his long time nemesis. It's a power struggle, seven plans of hell, fight for me, I'll save your wife from Hell's torment, yada, yada, -- wadda ya say?

The artwork is fairly amateurish, reminding me of a friend in High School who constantly doodled images of scantily clad, big breasted women engaged is various carnal activities. The poor choice of font makes the text practically unreadable at times.

Continuity appears non-existent as the issue '0' comes AFTER the first two issues and follows a completely different story line. Bizarrely, at the end of this issue there is a promise of a third issue to complete the previous story line.

Let me summarize in two words: don't bother!

OK... I'm stumped!

I've searched the websites of Casterman, Dargaud, Delcourt, Dupuis and Glenat for this title and found nothing. I've also searched by the author and artists Denis Falque and Philippe Bonifay -- nada! The Comic Book Database is equally devoid of any information about this seemingly 'phantom' title JANE!

The closest thing I could find to a summary or description was on the back page of the first issue:
