BOOM! PEN & INK collection (2013-2024)
English | CBR | 13 Issues

After the first two PEN & INK books focused on Brian Stelfreeze and Humberto Ramos, we wanted to shine the light on one of our new discoveries, the vastly talented and Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer Award-nominated Vanesa R. Del Rey (THE EMPTY MAN, ZERO). This edition takes a closer look at her timeless, haunting artwork on HIT, her comics debut.
BOOM! Studios announced today the continuation of the PEN & INK collection: a deluxe art-focused format of select first issues featuring stunning black and white interior artwork and cover with artist commentary of the hit Something Is Killing The Children spin-off, HOUSE OF SLAUGHTER #1 by Tate Brombal and Chris Shehan, available January 2024. This newest issue follows the BRZRKR #1: PEN & INK, by the record smashing creative team of Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, and Ron Garney, SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #1: PEN & INK, by Eisner-winning creators James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera and the multiple award-nominated THE MANY DEATHS OF LAILA STARR #1: PEN & INK by Ram V and Filipe Andrade.
Revisit the very beginning and the bloody, record-breaking Something Is Killing The Children spinoff through unadulterated, raw black & white line art! Featuring never-before-revealed insights into the creative process on each page with exclusive commentary by series artist Chris Shehan and a brand new introduction by writer Tate Brombal!
"After the monumental support and praise for James and Werther's Something Is Killing The Children Pen & Ink, it just made sense to bring fans House of Slaughter to complete their Pen & Ink SlaughterVerse collections," said BOOM! Studios President of Publishing and Marketing, Filip Sablik. "This fresh presentation of some of our biggest debuts in recent years paired with incredible insight from the amazing artists who drew them is a must have for any fan!"
